Embattled Alaska Governor Bill Walker’s already poor approval ratings keep dropping fast.
According to a new poll by Morning Consult, Walker’s approval rating faced the largest net slide of any governor in the fourth quarter of 2017, falling 19 points compared to the previous quarter. A clear majority of Alaskans (55 percent) now disapprove of Walker, while only a meager 29 percent approve of his performance. As a result, Walker is now the most unpopular governor running for re-election in 2018.
Walker’s lack of support shows that Alaskans are fed up with his failed record of massive deficits, skyrocketing crime, and abysmal job growth. Alaskans know that they deserve better and will opt for new leadership in November.
