With less than two weeks until the Democrat gubernatorial primary in Virginia, Far-Left Democrat Tom Perriello is drawing fierce criticism from a member of his own party for inferring that former President Obama has endorsed his gubernatorial campaign. In response to the television ads by Perriello that use seven year-old footage of the failed former congressman with President Obama, Democrat Congressman Donald McEachin slammed Perriello, stating that it was “disingenuous,” as Obama has not endorsed either candidate, and that by using the footage, Perriello is “confusing voters.”
POLITICO reports:
“McEachin and other black supporters of Northam also aren’t pleased that Perriello is using the first African-American president — who has not endorsed in this contest — in television ads, arguing he’s confusing voters by using footage from 2010. ‘It’s a little bit disingenuous on the part of Tom,’ McEachin said.”
