Michelle Lujan Grisham is paying a steep price for sexual assault, $150k and growing according to the most recent campaign finance reports, after she settled an alleged groping incident that occurred between her and a staffer during her 2018 campaign for governor.
What happened? The staffer accused Lujan Grisham of “pouring a bottle of water on his crotch and then grabbing his crotch through his clothes as she laughed.”
This comes after Lujan Grisham paid $62,500 in alleged sexual assault settlement payments, according to a spring of 2021 campaign finance report.
“Governor Lujan Grisham originally called the alleged crotch grab ‘bizarre,’ ‘slanderous’ and ‘categorically false‘ when trying to discredit her victim — just like the disgraced Andrew Cuomo,” said RGA spokesman Will Reinert. “Now she has doled out $150k in settlement money. Michelle Lujan Grisham must treat this issue with the seriousness that comes with a 6-figure settlement and apologize to the victim and the people of New Mexico for her behavior.”
