Connecticut Dem Gov Candidate Ned Lamont Defends Malloy’s Failed Record At Party Convention

At this weekend’s Democrat convention in Connecticut, Ned Lamont continued to defend Failed Governor Dan Malloy’s agenda while building his campaign around the same policies that have driven the state into economic decline.

Not only did Lamont refuse to mention by name the state’s incumbent governor whose policies he’s spent months supporting, but he also repeated his false claim that General Electric did not leave the state because of Malloy’s business tax hikes. Lamont appears to be ignoring the fact that GE specifically attributed its decision to depart the state to Malloy’s tax increases:

Apparently Lamont’s running mate Susan Bysiewicz did not get the same set of talking points during an interview she gave before Lamont’s speech where she claimed people are leaving the state because it is “losing good jobs” under Malloy:

While even his own running mate can admit that Dan Malloy’s policies have led to job losses in Connecticut, Lamont continues to mislead and distort the facts as he builds his campaign on Malloy’s job-killing agenda. Lamont continues to prove that he is too out-of-touch to lead.
