AGAIN? CNBC Ranks Dem Gov Gina Raimondo’s Rhode Island As One of the Worst States for Business in America

Under Democrat Governor Gina Raimondo’s failed policies, Rhode Island is once again ranked as one of the worst states for Business in America. This morning, CNBC released its annual “Top States for Business” rankings for 2018, placing Rhode Island as the fifth worst state for Business.

Bottom 10 business rankings are nothing new for Raimondo’s Rhode Island, Forbes and 24/7 Wall Street have also put the state in the bottom 10 of business rankings in recent years. To make matters worse, CNBC also rated Rhode Island dead last for infrastructure, despite Raimondo’s repeated claims to have improved the state’s roads and bridges since she took office.

For nearly all four years of Raimondo’s term, CNBC has rated Rhode Island a bottom ten state for business. Raimondo talks a big game about making real progress in Rhode Island, but with sluggish economic growth, unemployment above the national average, and four years of abysmal ratings for business, the facts don’t match her words. Rhode Island deserves better.
