Career Politician Virg Bernero Admits Guilt

The Republican Governors Association released its second television advertisement in Michigan today. The first ad, highlighting Rick Snyder’s experience creating jobs in the private sector and his plan to create jobs for Michigan, can be seen at www.michigansfuture.com.

The second ad examines Virg Bernero’s record as a career politician. Bernero was first elected to office in 1990 and has held office off and on for the last twenty years during which time he has voted over 73 times for tax and fee increases.

“Not only has Virg Bernero admitted to being a career politician,” said RGA spokesman Chris Schrimpf. “He’s also guilty of voting again and again for job-killing tax hikes. When the jury comes in on November 2nd, Michigan voters will enter their final verdict condemning Virg Bernero and his tax hikes.”

A transcript of the ad is below. It can be seen here.
