Colorado Democrat gubernatorial nominee Jared Polis is so California that the Golden State appears to be copying his campaign agenda.
On Monday, California Democrat Governor Jerry Brown signed a new law that mandates the state have “carbon-free electricity by 2045.”
But Polis has long advocated for a similar policy that goes even further, proposing that Colorado achieve 100 percent renewable energy by 2040. According to one study, this radical policy would cost Coloradans an eye-popping $45 billion.
Polis’s support for California-style energy policies is just more proof that he is too extreme for Colorado.
