California Billionaire Tom Steyer’s Visit To South Carolina Raises Questions For Dem Gov Candidates

With his super PAC focused on gubernatorial races around the country this year, far-left California billionaire megadonor Tom Steyer is now bringing his radical agenda to South Carolina. The State reports that Steyer will arrive in Columbia on Wednesday for a town hall. His visit raises a key question for South Carolina’s Democrat gubernatorial candidates James Smith, Phil Noble, and Marguerite Willis: will they join him and endorse his extreme positions?

For months, Steyer has been touring the country promoting far-left, job-killing policies and pushing for the impeachment of the president. Steyer’s super PAC has already made plans to host gubernatorial debates for Democrat candidates in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Florida and has made it clear that governors’ races will be a key focus for them in 2018.

South Carolina’s Democrat gubernatorial candidates owe voters a straight answer. If Smith, Noble, and Willis plan on accepting assistance from Steyer on the campaign trail, they should tell voters if they support bringing his extreme agenda to South Carolina if elected.
