Despite its deep blue status and a 2-1 voter registration advantage by Democrats – GOP Governor Larry Hogan continues to post high job approval ratings in Maryland.
A new poll out this week from Goucher College shows that 62% of Marylanders approve of Governor Hogan’s job performance, including 59% percent among Democrats.
Hogan has presided over record economic growth, with Maryland’s unemployment rate dropping to its lowest levels since 2008.
CBS Baltimore explains that Hogan’s popularity means he will be “hard to beat” in 2018.
Larry Hogan’s impressive performance as chief executive shows that not only can Republicans win in blue states – they can govern effectively and get results for their citizens.
