Joe Biden’s staff called it a “high-class problem,” but Maine’s diners aren’t laughing as the Bangor Daily News reports that “increases in the costs of labor, food and nearly everything else restaurants need to do business are driving owners to raise prices.”
This comes as inflation reached record highs today.
Janet Mills’ part in all this? Mills signed into law a bill that will further increase the cost of putting food on the table for the average Maine family by an estimated $59 a month.
“No matter at the gas pump, car lot or grocery store, families’ wallets are lighter because of Joe Biden’s and Janet Mills’ reckless policies,” said RGA spokesman Will Reinert. “When Maine’s restaurants see the cost of food triple in a year, they have no choice but to pass the costs on, and diners know to point the finger at Democrats’ policies for making their lives more expensive under Governor Mills.”
