The Baltimore Sun editorial board is blasting Democrat gubernatorial candidate Ben Jealous for promising to blatantly use partisan gerrymandering to block Maryland Republicans from being represented in Congress.
Jealous reportedly used a “unity rally” to propose a plan to “eliminate Republicans altogether from Maryland’s Congressional delegation.”
“Quite explicitly, Mr. Jealous is promising to use gerrymandering for partisan aims,” writes the Baltimore Sun. “In other words, Mr. Jealous’ commitment to the principle is overridden by his partisan interests.”
The Baltimore Sun is right, Ben Jealous is a far-left politician whose commitment to principle is overridden by his blinding partisanship. It’s a clear contrast with Governor Larry Hogan, who has worked across the aisle to move Maryland forward.
