In Attempt To Appease Far-Left Voters, Minnesota Dem Gov Candidate Tim Walz Flip-Flops On Refugees

Another week, another flip-flop for Minnesota Dem gov candidate Tim Walz.

In an attempt to appease far-left voters, Walz had decided to embrace left-wing activist causes – this time, he’s changed his tune on refugees.

In 2015, Walz was noted for crossing party lines to join congressional Republicans to pass a bill curtailing refugee immigration.

The Star Tribune reported in 2015, “Democratic U.S. Reps. Tim Walz, Collin Peterson and Rick Nolan joined with a majority of Republicans Thursday in support of a measure to create new obstacles for Syrian and Iraqi refugees trying to enter the United States, offering a stinging rebuke of President Obama.

The Huffington Post said that the bill Walz voted for would “shut the door on Syrian refugees.”

But now that Tim Walz is seeking the DFL nomination for governor, Walz has embraced the left-wing position.

On Tuesday, Walz tweeted out that he is “Relieved & happy St Cloud City Council supported resolution welcoming refugees instead of the so called moratorium.”

First he “creates new obstacles for Syrian and Iraqi refugees,” now he is “relieved & happy” to not have a moratorium. It’s another clear flip-flop for Walz.

Just last week, Walz was caught flip-flopping on Obamacare, saying he is now “proud” of the health law, after previous noting that it was “failing” his constituents.

Walz is revealing himself to be just another ideologically bankrupt politician who changes his position with the wind.
