As Hillary Clinton Visits Raleigh, Roy Cooper Can’t Be Found

Two weeks ago, North Carolina’s Democrat gubernatorial nominee Roy Cooper broke his long silence and finally admitted publicly that he was all-in for Obama’s Third Term by endorsing Hillary Clinton for President.

“McCrory’s Democratic opponent, attorney general Roy Cooper, on Tuesday endorsed Hillary Clinton, who secured enough delegates for her party’s nomination Monday night.” (Colin Campbell, “Cooper Backs Hillary Clinton,”Raleigh News & Observer, 6/7/2016)

But today, as Hillary visits Raleigh for a campaign stop, Roy Cooper can’t be found. With less than 5 months until Election Day, Cooper gave no reason for skipping the first visit to the state by the presumptive Democratic Presidential nominee, instead choosing not to appear or be seen with Hillary.

“Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton will be in Raleigh Wednesday, but the two other Democrats at the top of North Carolina’s ballot won’t be joining her. Neither Attorney General Roy Cooper, who’s running for governor, nor U.S. Senate candidate Deborah Ross will be at the event at the State Fairgrounds, their campaigns said Tuesday. Clinton’s event, scheduled for 2:30 p.m. at the Fairgrounds Expo Center, is her first campaign stop in North Carolina since becoming her party’s presumptive nominee.” (Colin Campbell, “Cooper, Ross Won’t Be At Hillary Clinton Event In Raleigh,” Raleigh News & Observer, 6/21/2016)

While North Carolina’s chief law enforcement officer Roy Cooper is trying to mislead voters and hide his support for Hillary Clinton, who is currently under federal investigation, Tar Heel voters are quickly realizing that they can’t trust Cooper to be honest with them. Despite his attempts to run from Hillary, Cooper can’t run from his support for four more years of Barack Obama’s destructive leadership in the White House.
