Arizona Republic Endorses Gov. Doug Ducey For Re-Election: “He Deserves A Second Term”

Over the weekend, the Arizona Republic endorsed GOP Governor Doug Ducey for re-election, citing his record of keeping his promises to grow jobs and lower taxes. Governor Ducey “argues that his job as governor was to pilot Arizona out of the economic crisis of the decade past,” and he’s succeeded. Ducey refused to raise taxes, and Arizona’s job growth exceeds the national average.

In contrast, the Arizona Republic writes that Ducey’s far-left Democrat opponent, David Garcia, made a “huge mistake” embracing the abolish ICE movement.

“He swung wide left by adopting the same clarion call to replace ICE (U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement) that carried Democrat Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez in her New York congressional district. What works in Queens doesn’t work in Phoenix.

The Arizona Republic concludes that Governor Doug Ducey is the right choice this November.

“Doug Ducey has earned the confidence of the people with his steady piloting of state government. He deserves a second term.”
