Another Month Of Alarming Consumer Prices Under Democrat Leadership

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the Bureau of Labor Statistics released a summary of consumer prices revealing, once again, that Americans continue to experience skyrocketing prices under Joe Biden and Democrat leadership in Washington. Prices for just about everything are up 0.9% from last month and over 6.2% from last year.

Today’s report reflects the largest increase in almost 31 years since November 1990. Meaning:

• The gasoline index is up 49.6%;
• The food index is up 5.3%;
• The energy index is up 30.0%; 
• Used cars and trucks is up 26.4%;
• Utility (piped) gas is up 28.1%.

And, yesterday’s report of producer prices showed a rise of 8.6% from last year, up 0.6% from last month. This increase marks the highest year-over-year consecutive rise in nearly 11 years. As the burden on American families gets heavier by the month, Biden pushes through with his massive tax and spending spree and job-killing vaccine mandates while Democrat governors do nothing to combat the Administration’s reckless overreach that will only continue to hinder their state economies.

Whether at the gas pump, car dealership, or grocery store, families are paying more because of Joe Biden. Republican governors are pushing back on this Biden-created financial disaster. From filing lawsuits against the unconstitutional federal vaccine mandate, to opening ports 24/7 in their states to alleviate the supply chain crisis, Republican governors are taking real action to address failed Democrat policies in order to preserve the American way of life.
