Maryland GOP Governor Larry Hogan continues to received unprecedented bipartisan support in his re-election bid. Just yesterday, the Laborers’ International Union of North America endorsed Hogan, reversing its position from 2014 when the union backed Hogan’s opponent with half a million dollars in campaign cash.
The Washington Post reports, “The Laborers’ International Union of North America is the fourth union that traditionally backs Democrats but is supporting Hogan (R) this year.”
“When we endorse a candidate, we look far beyond his or her political affiliation,” LIUNA President Terry O’ Sullivan said in a statement. “What matters is whether or not a candidate supports us in our mission of creating better lives for working families.”
Democrats, Independents and Republicans alike know that Larry Hogan gets results. That’s why unions and even sitting a Democrat lawmaker are abandoning the Democrat party’s radical nominee Ben Jealous and supporting Larry Hogan for re-election.
