Alex Sink: Disastrous Health Care Bill “Long-Overdue”

Supports Passage of Budget-Busting, Tax-Increasing, Job-Killing, Medicare Cutting Law

Democratic candidate for governor of Florida Alex Sink has expressed support for the federal takeover of the entire health care system as “certainly not perfect” but “long-overdue.”  In fact, the government-run medical system is a massive shift in policy which will blow wide holes in state budgets, kill jobs, drive up costs, increase taxes and restrict freedom of Americans’ medical choices.  Additionally, it will significantly cut Medicare and add greater unfunded burdens on Florida’s Medicaid system.

President Barack Obama signed the legislation today, prompting Florida Attorney General Bill McCollum to join other states in challenging its Constitutionality.

“Someone who wants to be governor of Florida must be willing to stand up and fight when bad laws flow out of Washington, D.C.,” said Tim Murtaugh, spokesman for the Republican Governors Association.  “Alex Sink has cast her lot with Nancy Pelosi’s monstrous health care bill that will wreak havoc on Florida for years to come.”
