Republican Governors Association Executive Director Phil Cox issued the following statement regarding Democratic State Senator Vincent Sheheen’s announcement that he is running for governor:
“There is no doubt that Vincent Sheheen is the national Democrats’ dream candidate. He’s a tax-and-spend liberal, a labor union-loving trial lawyer and has pushed to bring Barack Obama’s most costly policies to South Carolina. If folks are concerned about what Obama’s leadership has done to the nation, they should be dismayed at the thought of Sheheen as governor.”
