The Republican Governors Association began airing a new television ad in the North Carolina governor’s race today, outlining Democratic candidate Walter Dalton’s record of raising taxes and hurting job creation.

“After four years of the Perdue-Dalton administration, voters know to expect tax hikes and job losses from Walter Dalton,” said RGA communications director Mike Schrimpf. “Dalton has raised taxes throughout his political career and now North Carolina has the worst business tax climate in the South.”

“After serving as Bev Perdue’s right-hand man, now is not the time to give Walter Dalton a promotion,” Schrimpf concluded.
