Republican Governors Association Chairman Bob McDonnell issued the following statement regarding North Dakota Governor Jack Dalrymple’s announcement that he will be seeking election to a full term as governor in 2012:
“Under Governor Jack Dalrymple, North Dakota has become the envy of nearly every state in the nation. North Dakota’s unemployment rate is nearly a full point lower than the second best state, and it is significantly less than half the national average. Moreover, this year Governor Dalrymple has enacted legislation providing nearly $500 million in tax relief while investing a record amount in infrastructure projects and continuing to strengthen the state’s rainy day fund.
The RGA is confident that Governor Dalrymple’s sound fiscal leadership combined with North Dakota’s booming economy and job growth will translate to victory in November 2012.”
