RGA Congratulates Governor-Elect Bill Haslam

The Republican Governors Association congratulates Governor-elect Bill Haslam on his election as the next governor of Tennessee. Haslam succeeds Democratic governor Phil Bredesen. The Republican Governors Association contributed nearly $1.2 million to the Tennessee Republican Party.

“Bill Haslam is going to make an outstanding governor,” said RGA chairman Haley Barbour. “He combines the mind of a top business executive with a servant’s heart. The people of Tennessee could not have done better than electing Bill Haslam.”

The Republican Governors Association contributed nearly $1.2 million to the Tennessee Republican Party to support the Haslam campaign, helping to ensure a strong GOTV effort and secure a landslide victory.
