WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Republican Governors Association (RGA) released the following statement in response to Katie Hobbs’ launching her re-election campaign:
“Over the past three years Katie Hobbs has proven she’s in over her head and out of touch with everyday Arizonans. She vetoed legislation to crack down on fentanyl dealers, opposed the Secure the Border Act, and even supported taxes on groceries at a time when families can least afford it. Meanwhile, state government has been plagued by mismanagement under her watch, and Arizona has fallen in key economic rankings. If Katie Hobbs worked in the private sector, she’d have been fired long ago,” said Courtney Alexander, RGA Communications Director.
Border:
-
Hobbs vetoed a bill to increase penalties against fentanyl dealers.
-
Hobbs defunded the Arizona Border Strike Force. Sheriffs have balked at her efforts and called it a stunt.
-
Hobbs vetoed the ICE Act, a bill to increase cooperation with local law enforcement and federal immigration enforcement.
-
Hobbs even opposed the Arizona Secure Border Act, which passed with more than 60 percent of the vote.
-
Hobbs joined every Democrat governor in defending Gavin Newsom’s disgraceful stance against President Trump’s deportations of illegal immigrants.
- Hobbs announced she would stand in the way of President Trump’s deportations of criminal illegal immigrants.
Housing:
-
Hobbs touted support for getting rid of the rental tax, but in reality, she vetoed that policy, attacked it as meaningless and only agreed to it after she was forced to as part of budget agreement with Republicans.
-
Hobbs’ housing policy has been worthless. The state is lacking more than 120,000 housing units, according to the Common Sense Institute, driving up costs for buyers and trapping people out of the market.
Cost of living:
-
Hobbs vetoed a bill to eliminate taxes on groceries at a time when Arizonans can least afford their shopping bills.

Spanberger fully supports an Attorney General candidate who wants his political opponents and their children to be murdered.

Why not simply state: he is unfit for office?
