WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Republican Governors Association released the following statement on the results of South Carolina’s Gubernatorial primary election:
“Good-paying jobs, lower taxes, a booming economy, strong schools, and standing up for law enforcement – that is Governor Henry McMaster’s first-term legacy in South Carolina,” said RGA Executive Director Dave Rexrode. “Compare that record to Joe Cunningham who was simply a rubber stamp for Nancy Pelosi’s radical liberal agenda. If ever elected governor, there is no doubt Cunningham would work day and night to support President Biden’s failed leadership that’s caused inflation to skyrocket. The RGA is confident Governor McMaster will win re-election and continue to move South Carolina in the right direction.”
