Dumps Campaign Manager, Finance Director in Midst of Spring Swoon
“Maybe they got fired for using too many paperclips.”
– Tim Murtaugh, Republican Governors Association
Democratic candidate for governor of Florida Alex Sink continued her pattern of eliminating Florida jobs Thursday by ousting her campaign manager and finance director, adding two more hard-working citizens to the rolls of the unemployed. Sink’s job-cutting came as she fell further behind Bill McCollum in the polls and lost the fundraising race in the first quarter of 2010.
“Working for Alex Sink is clearly hazardous duty,” said Tim Murtaugh, spokesman for the Republican Governors Association. “Maybe they got fired for using too many paperclips.”
This is familiar territory for Sink. While in the private sector she eliminated thousands of Florida jobs while taking more than $8 million in salary and bonuses.
