Whitmer’s Anti-Road Campaign

Gretchen Whitmer’s contempt for the rule of law in Michigan is on full display once again as she plays politics with taxpayer money to pander to her liberal donors and tries to boost her sinking approval ratings.

Despite the legislature carrying out the will of the voters and prohibiting prevailing wage, Whitmer today announced an illegal order that will cost taxpayers and further contribute to Michigan’s crumbling roads.

“Instead of working with Republicans to fix Michigan’s crumbling roads and bridges, Gretchen Whitmer’s solutions have been to raise taxes by 161%, rack up billions of dollars of debt, and now she’s trying to balloon the cost of actually fixing the damn roads,” said RGA Spokesperson Chris Gustafson. “Whitmer’s illegal orders and campaign stunts will only further hinder Michigan’s competitiveness, and lead to more than just companies like Ford looking to invest elsewhere.”
