Through bipartisan pro-jobs leadership, GOP Governor Charlie Baker continues to achieve real results for the people of Massachusetts. In the newest edition of CNBC’s annual “Top States for Business” rankings, Massachusetts received a top ten ranking for the second consecutive year as it was named the eighth top state for business in America.
Massachusetts’ business ranking is the highest of any state in the New England region this year. In various subcategories, CNBC also ranked Massachusetts first in the nation for both “Education” and “Workforce” and second for “Technology & Innovation.” This comes as Governor Baker’s pro-growth policies have led to years of sustained economic growth and an unemployment rate of just 3.5 percent.
When Governor Baker’s Democrat predecessor left office, CNBC ranked Massachusetts 25th in the nation for business. Today, thanks to Governor Baker’s pro-growth policies, the state has moved into the top ten. As Governor Baker remains committed to spurring job growth through innovative solutions, Massachusetts’ business climate continues to move forward.
