Arizona GOP Governor Doug Ducey Signs Historic Teacher Pay Increase, Delivering Results

This morning, Arizona GOP Governor Doug Ducey followed through on his commitment to raise teacher pay, signing into law historic teacher pay increases.

Governor Ducey called the legislation “a big win for Arizona students, teachers and for public education.” Ducey’s plan sets the state on a course to raise teacher pay by 20 percent by 2020 without raising taxes.

“Governor Doug Ducey delivered for the people of Arizona today, following through on his pledge to support Arizona teachers and students without raising taxes,” said RGA Spokesman Jon Thompson. “Arizonans know that Governor Ducey will fight for them and get results.”
