After spending months on the campaign trail supporting tax hikes on Connecticut families, Ned Lamont has continued to embrace Dan Malloy’s failed legacy in Connecticut’s Democrat gubernatorial primary. If this wasn’t clear enough, former party boss and Malloy insider Jonathan Harris dropped out of the Democrat primary today to endorse Lamont.
Harris’ support for Lamont’s candidacy is the latest sign that Lamont plans to go all in on Malloy’s job-killing agenda if elected this November. Even Lamont acknowledged Harris’ ties to Malloy in audio of an event last week where he claimed that Harris is “so closely tied to Malloy” that it would be a tough road for him to win the nomination:
But now as he touts Harris’ support, Lamont has made it clear to voters that he plans to campaign on Malloy’s policies in hopes of succeeding him. Lamont has already given his enthusiastic support to Malloy’s latest proposed fee hikes and has even tried to distort the facts about the failed governor’s tax increases that drove General Electric out of the state.
Ned Lamont has made it clear that if elected, he would only prolong Connecticut’s decline as the state loses jobs, investment, and economic standing. Connecticut can’t afford another term of Dan Malloy policies.
