Could a California billionaire host a Democrat gubernatorial candidate debate in Tennessee?
Last week, far-left California billionaire Tom Steyer announced that he and his Super PAC, NextGen America, would be hosting Democrat gubernatorial debates in Michigan, Wisconsin and Florida this year.
With Tennessee’s gubernatorial primary shaping up to be a battle between politicians Karl Dean and Craig Fitzhugh, will Steyer bring his debate circuit to Tennessee? Steyer has not announced any plans yet, but with a competitive primary that’s beginning to heat up, Steyer should organize one so voters know where the Democrat candidates stand on his extreme agenda.
In 2016, Tom Steyer spent millions backing candidates around the country who would support his radical agenda. After the election, Steyer’s been spending millions on quixotic television ads promoting himself as a potential presidential candidate and calling on Congress to impeach the President.
If Tom Steyer plans to use his billions to try to turn states like Tennessee into California, he should come to Tennessee himself, face the public, and ask Democrat gubernatorial candidates Karl Dean and Craig Fitzhugh to join him on stage.
