Billionaire heir to the Hyatt hotel fortune and Illinois Democrat gubernatorial candidate J.B. Pritzker is already on record supporting major state tax increases, and was even blasted over the weekend by the Wall Street Journal for his refusal to say just how high his Illinois tax rates would be.
And while Pritzker has felt the need to weigh in on federal issues constantly during his campaign, he has yet to say anything about Congressional Democrats’ new tax hike proposal.
Last week, Congressional Democrats released “a detailed tax hike plan that they promised to implement if given majority control of the House and Senate after the 2018 midterm elections.” Forbes explains that Democrats would hike income tax rates, target small businesses and work to reverse the corporate tax rate cut that’s already bringing jobs and capital back to America.
J.B. Pritzker owes Illinois voters an answer: Does he support Congressional Democrats’ plan to raise taxes?
