Things keep getting worse for Florida Democrat gubernatorial candidates Gwen Graham and Philip Levine.
As they struggle amid repeated episodes of hypocrisy, negative attacks on each other as entitled and “tone-deaf,” and paltry activist support, other Florida Democrats are seizing the “huge vacuum” left by their flailing candidacies.
Two weeks ago, Democrat candidate Chris King received the endorsement of the American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE), offering a big “boost” to his “credibility.”
Last week, Democrat lobbyist Nikki Fried announced she is considering entering the race “after coming to the conclusion the current field of Democratic candidates ‘need(s) a heart transplant.”
And yesterday, former Florida Democrat Party Chair, Bob Poe, passed on Gwen Graham and Philip Levine, instead opting to endorse Andrew Gillum.
Many Florida Democrats placed high hopes in Gwen Graham and Philip Levine, but now they should brace for a long, brutal, and divisive primary.
