Yesterday, Democrat Susan Bysiewicz became the latest Malloy Enabler to explore a run for Connecticut’s highest office. Bysiewicz, who was infamously disqualified from running for Attorney General in 2010 when it was discovered that she hadn’t practiced law for years, has a long record of supporting tax hikes on Connecticut families, just like Dan Malloy.
But now that she’s running for governor, voters deserve to know: Does Bysiewicz support Malloy’s latest proposed tax and fee hikes? In his new budget plan, Malloy calls for massive consumption tax hikes, statewide tolling, and the repeal of business tax credits. Like her fellow Democrat gubernatorial candidates, Bysiewicz has yet to say whether she supports his attempts to further burden Connecticut taxpayers.
Since 2011, Bysiewicz has stood by silently and enabled Dan Malloy’s high-tax, anti-jobs policies. If she wants to replace him, Connecticut voters deserve to know where she stands.
