Under GOP Leadership, Iowa Ranked One of the Best Run States In America

Under strong GOP leadership from Governors Terry Branstad and Kim Reynolds, Iowa has vaulted up to third place in a new ranking of best-run states.

The Messenger reports that under GOP leadership, Iowa moved up from 6th place last year to 3rd this year in the 24/7 Wall St. study, demonstrating that pro-growth GOP policies bring results. The study notes that Iowa is “one of the most fiscally responsible states in the country.”

“Under the strong leadership of Gov. Kim Reynolds and her predecessor, Gov. Terry Branstad, Iowa has repeatedly done well in these rankings. This year it moved up to No. 3 from a still highly praiseworthy No. 6 a year ago.”

“The study’s analysts ranked states using four criteria: unemployment, pension funded ratio, credit rating and outlook, and poverty.”

“Iowa’s 17-year low unemployment rate of 3.7 percent, its strong state pension fund, AAA credit rating and low poverty rate (11.8 percent) all contributed to the Hawkeye State’s high ranking.”
