Struggling to stand out in a lackluster field, Wisconsin’s Democrat gubernatorial candidates continue to stake their candidacies on policies that oppose job creation. The Wisconsin State Journal reports that all of the Democrat candidates for Wisconsin governor have doubled-down on opposing Governor Walker’s groundbreaking deal with Foxconn Technology Group, which will create 13,000 new jobs. Some, like Tony Evers, are even running TV ads rooting for the deal’s failure.
For months, Democrats have tried to undermine the project for their own political gain, especially Dana Wachs, who was caught in October seeking only information on the “risks” associated with the Foxconn agreement without looking into its potential benefits. Despite the deal being heralded as “the single largest economic development project in the history of Wisconsin,” with potential to create thousands of high-paying jobs for Wisconsin families, Democrats seem content to ignore the facts while they stand in the way of progress.
As Governor Walker continues to fight for good-paying jobs, Democrats have built their campaigns on anti-jobs rhetoric, pursuing their craven political ambitions ahead of helping working families. As they remain committed to taking Wisconsin backwards and undoing Governor Walker’s positive reforms, voters continue to see how unfit they are to lead the Badger State.
