Just when it seemed Connecticut couldn’t get any worse economic news under failed governor Dan Malloy and his Democrat allies, another ranking shows the state as one of the worst states for business in America. A new survey by more than 500 CEO’s placed Connecticut at 46th in the nation for business, the same position it had last year in the same rankings.
The new ranking comes as Connecticut grapples with a massive $1.46 billion budget shortfall, due to eroding income tax receipts, and an unprecedented level of economic migration away from the state. In response to the high tax burden and stagnant job market caused by Democrat leaders’ failed policies, almost 30,000 Connecticut citizens moved away from the state last year alone.
With each passing week, Connecticut citizens see more proof of Democrat leaders’ catastrophic impact on the state’s business climate and job market. Even as Democrats trying to succeed Malloy like Kevin Lembo try to run away from Malloy’s failures after enabling him for almost a decade, Connecticut voters will remember their role in the state’s economic disaster and hold them accountable at the ballot box in 2018.
