New Jersey’s field of Democrat candidates for the party’s 2017 gubernatorial nomination continues to embrace the extreme. This weekend, POLITICO New Jersey’s Matt Friedman noted that the Democrats running – including Goldman Sachs millionaire Phil Murphy – are all “pretty far-left.”
MATT FRIEDMAN: “The problem though, with running left in this campaign with the Democrats is that they’re all pretty far-left, including Phil Murphy, so you can try to out left each other only so much, they’re all pretty far in that direction.”
With a far left candidate as the likely Democrat nominee – someone who has developed a disturbing penchant for extreme hyperbole – New Jersey Democrats continue to demonstrate how out-of-touch with the mainstream they have become.
