Less than a week after it was revealed that Connecticut added zero jobs in 2016, failed Governor Dan Malloy’s already abysmal record on the economy is getting even worse. A new report by the Tax Foundation has ranked Malloy’s Connecticut as one of the worst states in the country for business climate and tax burden:
“Connecticut ranks second in the nation for state and local tax burdens as a percentage of state income, according to the latest Tax Foundation “Facts & Figures” report.
Connecticut also ranks first for state individual income tax collections per capita, but 43rd on the state business climate index and 48th for federal aid as a percentage of state general revenue.”
Malloy’s Connecticut continues to decline further every year as businesses leave, job growth stagnates, and regulations mount. With the state literally falling into disrepair under Malloy, it has become clearer by the day that a new direction is needed in Hartford.
