WASHINGTON D.C. – The Republican Governors Association released the following statement tonight praising President Donald J. Trump’s selection of Judge Neil Gorsuch, a federal judge currently serving on the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals, as his nominee for associate justice of the Supreme Court of the United States.
“Judge Neil Gorsuch is an outstanding choice by President Donald Trump for the Supreme Court, and if confirmed, will be an originalist with a judicial philosophy based on the laws of the Constitution, not an activist ideology,” said RGA Chairman Governor Scott Walker. “Judge Gorsuch has been a reliable guardian of the Constitution on the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals, and with experience in the private sector, Department of Justice and the Supreme Court, he has demonstrated that he will be a strong jurist in the mold of Justice Antonin Scalia. We congratulate Judge Gorsuch on his nomination and look forward to his confirmation.”
