The Republican Governors Association released a new television advertisement today in the North Carolina governor’s race, explaining how career politician Roy Cooper increased taxes and fees by $9 billion yet cut education programs and raised tuition at the state’s colleges and universities.

“During his 30 years in office, career politician Roy Cooper has supported backwards policies that have hurt North Carolina businesses and families,” said RGA Communications Director Jon Thompson. “In addition to raising taxes and fees by $9 billion, he also supported cutting education programs and increasing tuition at the state’s colleges and universities. Roy Cooper’s record is clear: he wants hardworking North Carolinians to pay more.”
