WASHINGTON D.C. – The Republican Governors Association released the following statement regarding New Hampshire Democrats selecting Colin Van Ostern as the Democrat nominee for governor:
“In nominating Colin Van Ostern for governor, New Hampshire Democrats have selected a partisan political operative as their standard bearer,” said RGA Communications Director Jon Thompson. “In a time of tight budgets, following a $50 million cut in state education funding, Van Ostern voted to send taxpayer funds to special interest projects, and then took contributions from those in the industry. New Hampshire needs a proven leader in the governor’s office who will work with everyone to move the state forward. Van Ostern’s extreme partisan policies would only take New Hampshire backwards.”
