WASHINGTON, D.C. – Republican Governors Association Communications Director Jon Thompson released the following statement regarding Democrat Attorney General Roy Cooper’s announcement that he will run for governor of North Carolina:
“After spending nearly 30 years in government, Democrat Roy Cooper has nothing to show for it but a consistent record of supporting Obamacare, higher taxes, more spending and other anti-business, out-of-touch policies that put North Carolina at a disadvantage for decades. When given the chance to stand up for Tar Heels as Attorney General, Cooper failed to do his job and instead chose to align himself with Washington D.C. liberals. Roy Cooper’s North Carolina would be closed for business, taking the state backwards and ensure the end of job growth.”

Glad to be a part of the ribbon cutting for a new neighborhood in Hudson yesterday.
With a new 60-day permitting process for housing, we’ve taken meaningful steps to tackle our housing shortage and keep New Hampshire growing.
Less red tape, more ribbon cuttings! https://t.co/x254Xw8SXD
.@SpanbergerforVA’s track record in Washington says it all: she wants to destroy American Energy Independence.
Abigail Spanberger’s energy plan is a roadmap to ruin. Banning gas cars. Killing jobs. Crushing families under a radical progressive agenda.
