WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Republican Governors Association released a new television advertisement today in the Maine governor’s race, which illustrates the disconnect between Washington politician Mike Michaud and Maine’s middle class families.

“Mike Michaud is a Washington politician who has forgotten what’s best for the people of Maine,” said RGA Communications Director Gail Gitcho. “He supported cap and trade, voted to tax Social Security and even supported welfare benefits for illegal immigrants. Mainers want a governor who works for them, not a creature of Washington, D.C. who is out of touch with their priorities.”
