WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Republican Governors Association launched its first television advertisement today in the Arizona governor’s race, which outlines Democrat Fred DuVal’s support for massive tuition hikes as a member of the Board of Regents.

“College students in Arizona can thank Democrat Fred DuVal for their ever-increasing tuition rates,” said RGA Communications Director Gail Gitcho. “As a member of the Board of Regents, DuVal did little to stem the tide of rising tuition, voting to hike it and effectively doubling the cost of higher education in Arizona. That’s a tough pill for middle class families to swallow, and it’s certainly not the kind of record Arizona is looking for in its next governor.”
