WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Republican Governors Association released a new television advertisement today in the Michigan governor’s race, which details the hand Democrat Mark Schauer had in creating and sustaining Michigan’s ‘lost decade’.

“It wasn’t long ago that the state of Michigan was trapped amid the pervasive hardship and stalled progress of its ‘lost decade’ under Democrat governor Jennifer Granholm and her right-hand man, Mark Schauer,” said RGA Communications Director Gail Gitcho. “Their impractical policies and weak leadership failed Michigan; jobs disappeared, unemployment soared, taxes rose and debt stacked up. Mark Schauer made a mess of the state once, and Michigan families can’t afford to go back.”
