Over the weekend, Nikki Fried was in MAJOR damage control mode during an interview on Miami WPLG’s This Week in South Florida. After receiving condemnation from the Anti-Defamation League and countless Jewish advocates, Fried attempted to water down and walk back her comparison of Ron DeSantis to Adolf Hitler saying, “No one should be compared to Hitler himself…”

But Fried has been making this exact comparison for months in private events, including one in December with Florida Jewish Democrats. So while Fried tries to spin a “candid, unscripted conversation” as being taken “out of context,” her repeated use of the comparison proves this was a miscalculated political talking point – not a a misunderstood one-off.

“Nikki Fried had a clear opportunity this weekend to apologize for her disgusting rhetoric comparing Ron DeSantis to Adolf Hitler and murderous dictators like Fidel Castro, but instead she chose to double down,” said RGA spokesperson Joanna Rodriguez. “The desperation of Florida Democrats to stir up hate and division in an effort to win their woke base in a primary is only going to get lower.”
