🚨 This week in The Red Zone 🚨
Welcome
back to your brief weekly synopsis of the best happenings on
the ‘21/‘22 Gov map!

“60 Minutes Misses The Mark” was the
takeaway across the political spectrum this week following the
program’s botched report on the COVID vaccine rollout in Florida
and a false, baseless narrative targeting Governor DeSantis and
trusted Florida-based retailer, Publix. Florida Editorial Boards, Politifact, the Poynter Institute and CNN all weighed in criticizing the report. The
Governor delivered a fact-based rebuttal and defended
Florida’s effective plan that:
- Vaccinated
the states' most vulnerable, seniors, first.
- Made
the vaccine easily accessible at retail pharmacies &
state-sponsored sites like churches and community centers.
- Kept
businesses open, kids in schools & FL prosperous.

Despite strict
lockdowns and deadly COVID-19 policies things are still looking
grim in Michigan & Whitmer remains silent... it's been 21 days since Whitmer has given
an update on her COVID-19 response plan.

⭐Superstars of the Week⭐
Governors
Doug Ducey and Greg Abbott continue to deliver timely updates
to the American people on the crisis at the border and remain
effective at implementing measures to keep their
constituents safe.

NOT SO FAST, JOE:
While President Biden
made moves this week to issue *another* executive order to limit
gun sales and the the rights of law-abiding gun owners,
Republican govs. like Ducey, Reynolds and Lee took action to protect Second
Amendment rights in their states.

🚨🚨 The Red Zone 🚨🚨
For months, Terry
McAuliffe (D-VA) has been slammed by
fellow Democrats for refusing to step aside and give the
three minority candidates in the race a chance, and his latest
backing does little to disabuse people of those concerns.
This week, McAuliffe celebrated the endorsement of VA
Governor Ralph
Northam – despite previously calling
for Northam to resign after he admitted to wearing "black-face" or a "KKK
costume." Not a good look, Terry.

Gov. Kemp remains an
advocate of a strong GA economy
Despite the MLB's decision to move a major
economy-boosting event out of the state, Kemp continues to
support Georgia small businesses by easing measures to
support recovering businesses.

The Week Ahead
- Governor Dunleavy will continue to advocate for America to focus on the declining
health and value of the Arctic.
- Will Kamala Harris, whom Biden put
in charge of the border, actually visit
the border?
- Will President Biden work with
Republicans to modify his tax hike proposals he has
disguised as an "infrastructure" bill?
