In Virginia, RGA could legally coordinate directly with Bob McDonnell’s campaign and contribute unlimited money. The RGA contributed nearly $2,000,000 directly to the McDonnell campaign which allowed the campaign to air TV advertisements introducing Bob to Virginia voters during May sweeps.

RGA also launched an independent expenditure campaign that highlighted Democratic candidate Creigh Deeds’ support of massive earmarks, reckless spending, and a lackluster post debate response that proved to be a game changer. Our effort involved television, radio advertisements, and online expenditures.
