The Republican Governors Association launched its first television ad in the North Carolina governor’s race today, detailing career politician Roy Cooper’s liberal record of supporting tax increases.

“During his 30 years in elected office, career politician Roy Cooper supported burdensome tax increases, putting North Carolina at a disadvantage for decades,” said RGA Communications Director Jon Thompson. “Instead of looking out for hard-working North Carolinians, Cooper backed failed policies that hurt families and businesses. He would take the state backwards.”
