I am the Town Clerk of Wilmington, Vermont and have worked with Sec of State Deb Markowitz for 12 years. I consistently supported her for SOS, but I do not support her for Governor. I am supporting Brian Dube. Deb is a fine person, but I came into sharp disagreement with her over Same Day Voter Registration among other election issues. Deb has told me herself that she wants to lead by getting lawmakers in Montpelier to work together rather than the style of Gov Douglas. If Markowitz is Gov, there will be no check and balance on Montpelier as Douglas bravely exercised through his veto of the $200M deficit budget passed by the Legislature.
