Governor Bobby Jindal was re-elected in overwhelming fashion. He earned 66 percent of the statewide vote while his next closest competitor garnered just 18 percent. Gov. Jindal's share of the total vote in the non-partisan primary was the highest ever for a gubernatorial candidate in the history of Louisiana's open primary era.

Mississippi

Lieutenant Governor Phil Bryant convincingly won the gubernatorial election, earning an overwhelming majority of the vote. Lt. Gov. Bryant's victory marks the first time in more than 125 years that Mississippi voters have elected back-to-back Republican governors.
